McDonald is 9-1 against Jackson-Milton since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. Last Monday, McDonald was the victim of a rough 49-23 defeat at the hands of Springfield. While losing is never fun, McDonald can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 667th, while Springfield is ranked 320th).
Meanwhile, Jackson-Milton came into Wednesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Memorial on Wednesday as Jackson-Milton made off with a 42-22 victory. Jackson-Milton has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.
McDonald has not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Jackson-Milton, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10.
McDonald ended up a good deal behind Jackson-Milton in their previous matchup back in January, losing 39-22. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Jackson-Milton's Emma Johns, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
