For the second straight game, Kimball will face off against Roosevelt. The Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Kimball is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Roosevelt get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Tuesday. The Knights have beaten the Mustangs the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.

Lorenzo Zamarripa made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Zamarripa was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for Kimball: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 1-7 otherwise.
In other batting news, Kimball let Emiliano Maldonado and Federico Sifuentes run wild. Maldonado got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while Sifuentes went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Maldonado has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Antonio Torres, who earned one RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.
Kimball always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Roosevelt only posted an OBP of .182.
This is the second loss in a row for Roosevelt and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Kimball, the win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 3-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Kimball has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
