The Edgemont Moguls entered their tilt with the Morrill Lions with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Edgemont walked away with a 41-34 win over Morrill on Friday. The score was all tied up 17-17 at the break, but Edgemont was the better team in the second half.
Hadley Hollenbeck continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tavian Urban, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and five steals.
Morrill lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kinzley Hess, who scored 14 points along with six steals. Katelyn Walker was another key contributor, scoring five points along with four steals and three blocks.
Edgemont has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Morrill, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4.
Edgemont's road trip will continue as they head out to face Hay Springs at 5:00 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Hay Springs is ranked 114th in Nebraska, while Edgemont is ranked 89th in South Dakota).
