Make it six blowout wins for the St. Joseph Academy Flashes this season. They breezed by Global Outreach Charter Academy on the road to the tune of 54-12. Given St. Joseph Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Global Outreach Charter Academy is ranked 582nd), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
St. Joseph Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kelly Cramer, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Cramer has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taninah Manning, who scored 13 points along with eight steals and five rebounds.
The victory was the fourth in a row for St. Joseph Academy, bringing their record for this year to 11-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
St. Joseph Academy will face off against Gateway Charter at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against KIPP Bold City at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
