After flying high against the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns last Friday, the Scranton Knights came back down to earth. Scranton took a 14-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Abington Heights on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Scranton couldn't push the score so high this time.
Billy Maloney threw for 96 yards on 13 of 21 attempts. Oliver Almonte was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Abington Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nick Bradley, who threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns.
Scranton has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Abington Heights, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Scranton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Abington Heights will head out on the road to face off against Delaware Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Delaware Valley will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
