Ethan is 1-6 against Howard since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ethan Rustlers just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Howard Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Ethan is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
Even though Mitchell Christian scored an imposing 61 points on Thursday, Ethan still came out on top. Ethan walked away with a 71-61 win over Mitchell Christian. Given Ethan's advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 44th, while Mitchell Christian is ranked 139th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Howard beat Winner 54-43 on Saturday.
Ethan's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Howard, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.
Ethan came up short against Howard in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 65-55. Can Ethan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
