The St. Georges Tech Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Odessa Ducks at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
St. Georges Tech posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They breezed by Christiana at home to the tune of 74-39. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-19.
St. Georges Tech can attribute much of their success to Kionne Lang, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, and Emory Womack, who scored ten points along with five assists and five steals. Lang continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Blair Thomas, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Odessa put another one in the bag last Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Christiana 77-40 at home. Odessa has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.
The victory makes it two in a row for St. Georges Tech and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for Odessa, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
