Merced had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. Annalise Ramirez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

Merced pushed their record up to 11-2-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games.
