Sayre's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zahki Solomon, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Brown, who scored 20 points.
When it comes to explaining why TECH Freire Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Omar Leach. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. The matchup was Leach's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zymear Hashim , who scored 12 points.
Sayre's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for TECH Freire Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1.
Sayre will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Benjamin Franklin at 3:15 p.m. on January 4th. TECH Freire Charter won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Girard Academic Music Program at 3:15 p.m. on December 21, 2023.
