The Northeastern Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 71-25 win over Bertie on the road. That looming 71-25 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Northeastern yet this season.
Jasmine Felton continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 15 rebounds. The game was her fifth in a row with at least ten points. Azaria Gallop was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
Northeastern's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bertie, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Northeastern's road trip will continue as they head out to face Gates County at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. Hopefully Gates County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Thursday. As for Bertie, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Tarboro at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
