The Mountain View Christian Academy Conquerors kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were outmatched by New Life Christian on the road and fell 76-46. Mountain View Christian Academy lost against New Life Christian in their previous head to head back in January of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-19 score last time.
Despite the loss, Mountain View Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Brady Beavers, who scored 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks. Another player making a difference was Josiah Walker, who scored 10 points.
Mountain View Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for New Life Christian, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Mountain View Christian Academy will face off against Covenant Life at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Covenant Life focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for New Life Christian, they will take on Mount Airy Christian Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
