Jaron Thomas' Big Game Leads Concord over Wawasee
Concord picked up their eighth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jaron Thomas. Nobody could stop Thomas as he rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up 0.5 sacks and making eight total tackles.
Thomas is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Plymouth on Friday. When Thomas last faced the Pilgrims/Rockies back in October of 2023, he rushed for 186 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries.

NorthWood had to settle for second on Friday, but Austin King sure wasn't going down easily. Despite the defeat, King was still balling out as he forced a fumble and made seven total tackles. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles.
NorthWood is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. King and NorthWood will face off against Goshen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Breveard Made His Presence Known in Concord's 44-7 Win
Char'Rese Breveard's big game helped extend Concord's winning streak to eight on Friday. Breveard did his part (and then some), picking up 143 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground for the 'W'. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 69 yards.
For the year, Breveard has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 76.2 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 29.5 receiving yards per game.

A Season-Best Performance from Derek Sherwood Leads Northridge over Goshen
On Friday, Northridge got the W thanks in part to Derek Sherwood playing the best football he has all season. Sherwood rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Goshen's probably not too fond of Sherwood given he always seems to get the better of them. Sherwood rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries the last time he and the RedHawks duked it out back in September of 2023.

Karsyn Rumfelt Makes It Two for Northridge
Another Northridge player making an appearance on this list is Karsyn Rumfelt. He rushed for six yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 135 yards and a touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Northridge's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 0-5 when he doesn't).
This season, Rumfelt has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 148.1 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 1.63 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 13 rushing yards.
