On Thursday, Florence faced South Jones in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Florence Eagles put the hurt on the South Jones Braves with a sharp 6-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit South Jones with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jordyn Quick (2), Kadie Carroll (2), Kamryn Frazier, and Emma Marchant.

Florence pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those four contests.
