Monache is a perfect 10-0 against Porterville since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Marauders will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Monache's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Golden West as they made off with a 10-0 win. The Marauders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.
Sophia Martinez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Devynn Emerson, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Camacho Barrios, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.
Monache hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Porterville entered their tilt with Mt. Whitney on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 13-6 victory. 13 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Monache's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Porterville, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 9-13.
Everything went Monache's way against Porterville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Monache made off with a 9-2 win. Do the Marauders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
