Luella had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 88-17 victory over the Riverdale Raiders. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matches by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Luella to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leilani Ward, who went 5 for 7 en route to 13 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Ward a new career-high in points. Jasmine Baxter was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 18 boards.

Luella pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.9 points per game. As for Riverdale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-15.

Luella has already played their next game, a 49-44 victory against Dutchtown on the 20th. Riverdale has also already played their next contest (against Stephenson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
