Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tug Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against St. Joseph Central by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Irish: they've now won five in a row.
Bailee Hall was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Paisley Bolyard, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Katie Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Tug Valley's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Tolsia, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
