Canyon Lake is 1-9 against Fredericksburg since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Canyon Lake will head out on the road to face off against the Fredericksburg Billies at 6:15 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Canyon Lake has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Fredericksburg will arrive with 12 straight victories.
Last Tuesday, Canyon Lake ended up a good deal behind Navarro and lost 54-39. While losing is never fun, Canyon Lake can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 451st, while Navarro is ranked 181st).
Meanwhile, Fredericksburg scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 73-25 win over Navarro. Fredericksburg might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Canyon Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Fredericksburg, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
Canyon Lake took a serious blow against Fredericksburg when the teams last played back in January, falling 69-20. Can Canyon Lake avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
