Myers Park's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. Everything went their way against the Sun Valley Spartans as the Myers Park Mustangs made off with  a  37-14 win. This was payback for the Mustangs, who suffered  a  34-33  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Myers Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Jared Lockhart, who threw for 330 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.2 yards per attempt.  RJ Alexander helped  Lockhart out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
 Myers Park's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB  five times. The heavy lifting was done by  Brennan Meccarielli and  Rodney Dunham who racked up  four sacks between them.
 Myers Park's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Sun Valley, their  loss was their first of the  season and  makes their record 2-1.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Myers Park will take on Richmond at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Sun Valley, they will challenge Parkwood at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
