The North Creek Jaguars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 69-31 victory over Renton at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for North Creek as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leading North Creek to victory were Seirat Bhullar and Mikah Hammerquist. Bhullar scored 24 points along with three steals, while Hammerquist dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. The match was Hammerquist's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Grace Pinder was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
North Creek pushed their record up to 4-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Renton, they have fallen quite a ways from their 19-5 record last season and are now at 1-4.
North Creek won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mariner at 7:15 p.m. on December 19th. Renton will be home for the holidays to greet Highline at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
