After six games on the road, South Ripley is heading back home. The South Ripley Raiders and the Milan Indians will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully South Ripley is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Milan in Indiana (South Ripley is ranked 148th, while Milan is ranked 400th).
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, South Ripley beat Switzerland County 57-52.
Meanwhile, Milan's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Triton Central, falling 76-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Milan has scored all season.
South Ripley pushed their record up to 8-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Milan, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
Everything went South Ripley's way against Milan in their previous meeting two weeks ago as South Ripley made off with a 63-39 win. Will South Ripley repeat their success, or does Milan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
