Steele has gone 8-0-1 against Olmsted Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Comets will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 4:45 p.m. Steele is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Steele's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Midview as they made off with an 11-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Middies: they've now won four in a row.

Makenna Dorobek was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Briana Blankenship, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Steele was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Midview only posted a batting average of .062.
Meanwhile, Olmsted Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of North Ridgeville. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bulldogs have suffered against the Rangers since April 10, 2018.
ASHLEY SCOTT put in work no matter where she played. She tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
SCOTT wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was EMI MEISTER, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. SOPHIA GALARZA also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Steele's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Olmsted Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
Olmsted Falls' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Steele hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .320. It's a different story for Olmsted Falls, though, as they've only averaged .251. Will they be able to contain Steele's hitters?
Steele beat Olmsted Falls 10-6 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
