Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne North Side Comes Up Short

Fort Wayne North Side had lost 12 straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 0-24 to make it 13. They came up short against the Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Knights, falling 19-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-0 on Thursday.

As for Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games.

For Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' part, Ben Kiracofe was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Kiracofe has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kam Walters, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one triple.
