Holy Family and Silver Creek are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Tigers will face off against the Raptors at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Family is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.
Holy Family will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Horizon on Monday. The Tigers blew past the Hawks 13-4. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Joshua Grenzenbach tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brady Anderson was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Dustin Bennett was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
Holy Family kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Mead. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raptors have suffered since March 28th.
Brody Simpson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one triple. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nate Spiegel, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Holy Family's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Silver Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
Holy Family came up short against Silver Creek in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 7-3. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
