Meanwhile, Brenham put another one in the bag last Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Killeen 73-42 at home. The score was close at the half, but the Cubs pulled away in the second half with 35 points.
Brenham can attribute much of their success to Hagen Frank, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown. Frank torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 90 yards.
Brenham wouldn't let Killeen keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Quincy Adams, Caleb Espinoza, and Espinoza picked up one apiece. Espinoza is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made ten or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
The victory got Gilmer back to even at 2-2. As for Brenham, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
