After a string of four wins, The Fruita Monument Wildcats''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 21-6 bruising from Broomfield. The low total for Fruita Monument limited their streak of high-flying scores to four in a row.
Amari Wilson threw for 35 yards on five of 11 attempts.
Leading Broomfield to victory were CT Worley and Caleb Meehan. Worley rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown, while Meehan rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
Fruita Monument's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Broomfield, the victory was the fifth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Fruita Monument does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Broomfield will look to defend their home field on Friday against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. Heritage is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
