It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the East Beauregard Trojans can now relate to. They were outmatched by Oakdale on the road and fell 53-21. East Beauregard lost against Oakdale in their previous head to head back in October of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 21-0 score last time.
It was another big night for Deekota Johnson, who rushed for 206 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries.
East Beauregard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Oakdale, their win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-3.
East Beauregard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakdale will head out on the road to face off against Homer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Homer is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
