After three games on the road, Liberty County is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Wakulla War Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on December 13th. Hopefully Liberty County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Wakulla in Florida (Liberty County is ranked 264th, while Wakulla is ranked 555th).
On Tuesday, Liberty County was able to grind out a solid victory over St. John Paul II, taking the game 32-22.
Liberty County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleigh Peddie, who scored 15 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Peddie has scored at least 25% of Liberty County's points. Gabriella Flowers was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Wakulla's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Godby on the road and fell 63-17. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Wakulla has scored all season.
Liberty County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Wakulla, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Liberty County beat Wakulla 37-24 when the teams last played back in January. Does Liberty County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wakulla turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
