Powdersville has gone a perfect 5-0 against Carolina Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Patriots will welcome the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Powdersville has four straight victories, Carolina Academy has 19 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Powdersville got the win against Travelers Rest by a conclusive 19-3. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Kylie Powell made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Ellison Wood was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylie Evatt, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Powdersville hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 11 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Carolina Academy fell victim to Southside Christian and their airtight pitching crew last Tuesday. They came up short against the Sabres, falling 15-0.
Powdersville pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Carolina Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
Everything went Powdersville's way against Carolina Academy in their previous matchup back in March, as Powdersville made off with a 31-0 win. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
