Baseball Recap: Trenton Has No Trouble Against Lincoln Park

Trenton not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 10th (when they won 13-2). They put the hurt on the Lincoln Park Railsplitters with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Trojans have won 11 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Landon Blank looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Trenton's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Easton Curry, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Trenton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Trenton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 23-9. As for Lincoln Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-25.

Coming up, Trenton will take on Tecumseh at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln Park, they will head out on the road to take on Riverview at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
