Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Creighton was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 440 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Niobrara/Verdigre only gained 190.

Meanwhile, Wynot had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 36-12 to Crofton on Friday. The Blue Devils were down 30-6 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Creighton was dealt a bruising 54-14 loss at the hands of Wynot in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Creighton was down 46-6.
