Wickenburg waltzed into their contest  on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the St. John Paul II Catholic Lions get on the board and left with  a   20-0  win. The result was nothing new for the Wranglers, who have now won eight matchups by 12  runs or more  so far this season.
 Maleigh Colvin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  hit in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  RBI.
 In other batting news, Wickenburg got a  massive  performance out of  Tylee Buchert, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  hits  Buchert has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Brynlee Meister, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Wickenburg was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .750. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  batting average total in three consecutive  games.
Wickenburg now  has a winning record of 10-9. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
 Looking ahead, Wickenburg will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Kingman Academy  at 3:45  p.m. The Wranglers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 11.5  runs per game this season. As for St. John Paul II Catholic, they will head out to  challenge Chandler Prep  at 5:15  p.m.  on Friday. The Titans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.73  runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
