8A District 6 recap September 24, 2013
Colby Brown and Alexander Jackson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Bloomingdale. The connection went for 70 yards, the longest such play in 8A District 6 this season.
Plant's Jackson recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Bulls last week. Jackson ran for 75 yards on the play and finished with 145 on the day as his team defeated Bloomingdale.
Plant's dynamic duo of Brown and Jordan Reed proved tough for John Booth's team to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Brown threw for 519 yards and 4 touchdowns and Reed had 240 yards receiving. Jackson helped Plant's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 107 yards.
Robert Weiner's team's dynamic duo of Brown and Reed proved to be unstoppable against the Bulls, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Reed was the best receiver in the league this week as the Panthers beat Bloomingdale.
Brown put up the best numbers in passing as Plant bested the Bulls.
Chris Bryant was the most successful running back in 8A District 6 this week. He ran for 181 yards on 6 carries as Newsome defeated Bloomingdale. Teammate Ramsey Bennett added to the ground attack by rushing for 114 yards.
Reed had a great week catching the football as Plant topped the Bulls.
Plant's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brown has thrown for 874 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Reed has 25 catches for 350 yards.
The Wolves were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. Earlier in the week, Newsome defeated Alonso 38-26.
