The Crestwood Knights waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins but they left with five. They snuck past Darlington with a 53-48 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Crestwood also won the last time the pair played last Wednesday.
Crestwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Saniya Williams, who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least a third of Crestwood's points. Another player making a difference was London Vaughn, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Crestwood pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Darlington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-7.
Crestwood will head out on the road to take on Marlboro County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Darlington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Camden at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
