The Smithville Smithies will square off against the Chippewa Chipps at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Smithville is coming into the  match on  a  six-game losing streak.

The team  relied heavily on  MADI RIES, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  KYLEIGH GARTIN, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double.
 Chippewa  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 3.5  hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 9.2.
 Smithville's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Chippewa, their win  ended  a  six-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-12.
 Smithville might still be hurting after the  11-1 defeat they got from Chippewa  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024. Can the Smithies avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
