Several Kares players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Derek David, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. It was the first time this season that David pulled down eight or more rebounds. Tyler Dang was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Chadwick's win ended a nine-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-15. As for Rio Hondo Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season.
Chadwick will head out on the road to take on the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Providence presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Dolphins in California (the Pioneers are ranked 257th, while the Dolphins are ranked 1098th). As for Rio Hondo Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Classical Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
