The Oberlin The Phoenix 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 76-51 walloping at the hands of Brookside. Oberlin has struggled against Brookside recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Oberlin still got an impressive performance from Isaiah Jones-Smith, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jones-Smith has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Julian Anderson, who scored 11 points.
Oberlin's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Brookside, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Oberlin will look to defend their home court on Friday against Clearview at 7:00 p.m. Clearview will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Oberlin surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brookside, they will head out on the road to square off against Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
