The Anderson HomeSchool SONS pushed their score all the way to 61 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 82-61 walloping at the hands of Columbus HomeSchool. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Anderson HomeSchool has suffered since November 7, 2023.
Anderson HomeSchool's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bennett Long, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailani McCloud, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbus HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Cline, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 17 rebounds. Cline is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Isaiah Perkins was another key contributor, scoring 25 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Anderson HomeSchool and nudges their season record down to 10-9. As for Columbus HomeSchool, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anderson HomeSchool will take on Benton HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Columbus HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to square off against Louisville Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
