There's no place like home for the Aliceville Yellowjackets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Greensboro 60-35. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Aliceville has managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aliceville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyquan Simon, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Keanthony Wilder, who scored 20 points along with three steals.
Aliceville now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Greensboro, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Aliceville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pickens County at 3:30 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Pickens County is ranked 215th, while Aliceville is ranked 234th). As for Greensboro, they will head out on the road to take on Southside at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
