The Maple Heights Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Harvey Red Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Maple Heights' favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
On Wednesday, Maple Heights made easy work of Shaw and carried off a 13-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won six in a row.

Stephen Tillis and Devin Leeson did most of the damage at the plate: Tillis got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Leeson got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Tillis is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ashton Townes, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Maple Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Harvey hadn't done well against Cardinal recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Red Raiders came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 9-4. Nine seems to be a good number for the Red Raiders as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Jake Boehm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.
At the plate, Harvey let Ryan Delaney and Yahel Moreno run wild. Delaney went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Moreno got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs. Those two runs gave Moreno a new career-high.
Harvey's record is now 4-13. As for Maple Heights, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
