The Stargate School Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on The Pinnacle with a sharp 41-16 victory. That 41-16 margin sets a new team best for Stargate School this season.
Stargate School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Micaiah Lee, who scored four points along with seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Daniela Lewis was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five steals.
When it comes to explaining why The Pinnacle lost, one person who can't be blamed is Stephany Sanchez. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points.
Stargate School's win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for The Pinnacle, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stargate School will be home for the holidays to greet Dawson School at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dawson School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. The Pinnacle will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bennett at 5:30 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Hopefully Bennett focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 36 last Thursday.
