Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sebastian River). They blew past the North Port Bobcats 84-59 on Monday. The Sharks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

Sebastian River's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Eklessia Anderson, who shot 59% from the field on her way to 26 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Anderson has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last seven times she's played. Avonti Jennings was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine boards.

Sebastian River was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Sebastian River has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for North Port, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Sebastian River will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rockledge at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2026. As for North Port, they and Aubrey Rogers will face off at 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Acelia Beals and Ella Johnson.
