Fallbrook had lost five straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 7-10-1 to make it six. They fell just short of the Ramona Bulldogs by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since May 14, 2024.

Hana Winton put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Alicia Sorden was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Ava Allegro was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
As for Ramona, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-12-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games.
Like Fallbrook, Ramona also got a great game from a two-way player: Taeya Kitchen. On the mound, she tossed 6.1 innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Kitchen was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Evie Brown was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kayla Gibson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Coming up, Fallbrook will square off against Valley Center at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ramona, they will take on Westview at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
