The Swan Valley Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Bridgeport Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Swan Valley's 16-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were outmatched by Frankenmuth on the road and fell 60-14. While losing is never fun, Swan Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 416th, while the Eagles are ranked 12th).
Meanwhile, Bridgeport's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. Their tough 73-52 loss to Genesee might stick with them for a while.
Swan Valley has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Bridgeport, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Swan Valley against the Bearcats in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 57-5 victory. Will Swan Valley repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
