The St. John's Islanders lost against the Cross Trojans back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. John's took a 56-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cross. St. John's has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cross found their leader in underclassman Caden Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Ramsey is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Dominick Lampkin was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
St. John's has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Cross, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.
St. John's will head out on the road to square off against Burke at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cross, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Military Magnet Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 22nd.
