The victory was a breath of fresh air for Sacred Heart as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
ZaKiyah Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Sacred Heart's points. Reagan Bender was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Despite the loss, Meade County still got an impressive performance from Peyton Bradley, who scored 32 points along with five rebounds. The game was Bradley's 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Rider, who scored two points along with three steals.
Sacred Heart's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Meade County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.
Sacred Heart will take on Clarksville Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clarksville Christian is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Meade County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bardstown at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
