The Roosevelt Roughriders and the San Marin Mustangs will round out the year against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Roosevelt comes in on seven and San Marin on five.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Roosevelt ultimately got the result they hoped for last Friday. They secured a 60-56 W over Lakeside. Given Roosevelt's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 22nd, while Lakeside is ranked 264th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Roosevelt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Washington out in front who scored 15 points. The game was Washington's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Young, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, San Marin didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against San Domenico on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 58-52 win. 58 seems to be a good number for San Marin as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Roosevelt's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for San Marin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
