The Eastlake Wolves will face off against the Mount Si Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Eastlake and Newport - Bellevue had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Wolves walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Knights on Tuesday. The game was the first time the Wolves have beaten the Knights on their court since September 14, 2021.
Eastlake walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 22-25, 25-22.

Eastlake's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Renna Chow, who had 20 digs and one assist, and Kyra Kanai, who had 16 assists and six digs. With that strong performance, Chow is now averaging an impressive 10.4 digs per game.
Eastlake was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Meanwhile, Mount Si made easy work of Sammamish on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.
While Mount Si won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 26-24, 25-18.
Eastlake better keep an eye on Sadie Nunan. She was instrumental in Mount Si's win, getting eight assists and four digs. Averie Collins also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.
Mount Si's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Eastlake, their victory bumped their record up to 9-14-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's matchup: Eastlake has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Mount Si struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
