The Xenia Buccaneers will head out on the road to face off against the Lima Senior Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Xenia was beaten by Tippecanoe 41-14. While losing is never fun, Xenia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 317th, while Tippecanoe is ranked 157th).
Meanwhile, Lima Senior entered their tilt with Start with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Lima Senior came out on top against Start by a score of 26-14 on Friday. Lima Senior had a rough season last year, but they look ready to turn that poor record around this year.
Janiaus Hall was his usual excellent self, throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 101 yards. Hall is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played. Zaveon Garner also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Xenia has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Lima Senior, their win was their seventh straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2.
