Despite the loss, Miami-Yoder saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madison McKnight posted three points along with ten boards and eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for McKnight. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Negron, who had six points and nine rebounds.
Kiowa played against Flatirons Academy on Saturday and lost via forfeit.

Miami-Yoder came out on top in a nail-biter against Kiowa when the teams last played back in January of 2025, sneaking past 29-26.
