The Mountain View Christian Saints's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 56-12 loss at the hands of Sandy Valley. Mountain View Christian has not had much luck with the Sidewinders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Sandy Valley was led to victory by Damion Turner and Tage Colon. Turner scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, while Colon scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Turner hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Antonio Ramos was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Mountain View Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 1-9 record this season. As for Sandy Valley, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain View Christian will take on the at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nevada (Word of Life Christian Academy is ranked 96th, while the Saints are ranked 116th). As for Sandy Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Hopefully Liberty Baptist Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
